Collaborations
Collaboration for Ethical Leadership with Integrity
This program brings together cadets from the United States Military Academy at West Point and ROTC cadets from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) for a two-day program at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture and the National Museum of the United States Army. The intent is for students to develop a greater understanding of how contemporary antisemitism and racism have evolved and how as future officers they can lead ethically and with integrity. As all these students prepare to assume leadership roles within the Army, it is critical for them to have the skills and experience in leading constructive dialogue and promoting character growth through empathy and understanding.
The program focuses on:
Gaining a deeper understanding of the historical landscape that has shaped contemporary antisemitism globally.
Studying the history of Black military service and Black-Jewish relations and using this historical lens to analyze current examples of antisemitism, the relationship between racism and antisemitism, examine responses, and share personal insights.
Fostering meaningful dialogue between West Point and ROTC cadets from HBCU’s.
Facilitating networking between U.S. Armed Forces personnel and cadets as they enter the Professions of Arms.
